Artist Statement
This work, The Universal Mirror: Fractal Core, is an immersive reflection on the universe's fundamental nature. It is a visual embodiment of the hypothesis that the universe is a conscious entity, perpetually experiencing itself.
At its heart lies a Klein bottle, no longer a mere mathematical construct but a pulsating, luminous core of consciousness rendered in a dense swarm of particles. This "fractal core" has no interior or exterior; it is an infinite loop of creation and dissolution, a paradox made visible. Surrounding it, a second, more diffuse swarm represents our own consciousness—the collective awareness of the cosmos.
By navigating this space, you are not simply a viewer but an essential participant. Your movements and input, the very act of "seeing," influence the core's pulse and color, creating a symbiotic feedback loop. This work invites you to move past observation and step into a new kind of communion, where the universe sees itself not through a lens, but through you.
